Your fear doesn't disqualify you from encountering joy. I get it...sometimes we resist joy because we live in these stories---"not me," "not worthy," "I'll mess it up." Who told you that? Are you willing to hear a different voice? And what if joy doesn't show up as fireworks, but as a quiet, shakey: "Alright God, here I am...let's do this."
