Guest Storyteller - Elizabeth Graves

Elizabeth Graves will join me as our Guest Storyteller. Elizabeth describes alcohol as her gateway drug to shame. She couldn’t put down the drink, and hit the bottom with shame in a moment where she realized she was saying out loud what her inner-voice had been telling her for years. Elizabeth has been sober since May 2017: “Shame kept me alone, connection with God & others showed me I don’t have to be alone.” Elizabeth is also a cancer survivor, and her recovery from addition paved the way for how she would handle a cancer diagnosis.
